Robert H. Weinstein , Partner, Senior Managing Director and Head of Institutional Sales & Trading

Robert Weinstein joined as a Partner of Lighthouse Financial in June of 2008. He is the Senior Managing Director, a member of the Executive Team and Head of Institutional Sales & Trading. In this role, Mr. Weinstein oversees all trading activity for equity and credit derivatives, international equities, institutional equities and exchanged traded funds.

Previously, Mr. Weinstein headed the single stock institutional agency sales trading desk at Bear Stearns. Prior to Bear Stearns, he built out and headed Burlington Capital’s Institutional Sales Trading Desk. Mr. Weinstein began his career at Instinet where he held several positions including responsibility for Instinet’s Sales Trading Desk that covered the top 150 institutional buy-side accounts.

Mr. Weinstein holds a B.S. degree in Mathematics Education and a minor in Business from the University of Florida and holds a MBA in Finance and International Business from the New York University Stern School of Business.

 

Christopher Foxall, Partner and Head of Global Portfolio Trading

Christopher Foxall joined as a Partner of Lighthouse Financial in June of 2009. He is the Head of Global Portfolio Trading and member of the Executive Team and Head of Institutional Sales & Trading.

Mr. Foxall joins Lighthouse Financial with twelve years of experience in Global Portfolio trading. Most recently, he worked for JP Morgan Chase as the Managing Director of Global Portfolio Sales for the Americas. He had previously held this role at Bear Stearns and continued in the position after the firm was acquired by JP Morgan Chase. Mr. Foxall was given the task of integrating the two teams, technology and accounts. In his time at JP Morgan Chase, he helped the group gain a top 3 market share rank in the US. Mr. Foxall began his career at European American Securities based in London and later worked for UBS Securities as the Director of International Portfolio Trading of the Americas.

Mr. Foxall holds a Bachelors of Engineering and a Master in Mechanical Engineering from Portsmouth University, Portsmouth, UK.

Lighthouse Financial

Marc Gresack joined Quantal International in 2009 and serves as Chief Strategy Officer.  For 30 years, Mr. Gresack has been in the forefront of the convergence of technology in securities trading and investment practices.  Prior to Quantal, Mr. Gresack was Chief Executive Officer of Princeton Exchange Partners LLC and incubated an innovative auction based trading system, Matchpoint, which was acquired by NYSE/Euronext.  Before founding PX Partners, he was President of Universal Trading Technologies, an electronic trading joint venture with the Philadelphia Stock Exchange.  Marc was also Senior Vice President for the Reuters Plc. Instinet Division and was responsible for many of their sea-changing and highly profitable initiatives including the invention of the industry’s first equities Crossing Network, international portfolio trading, and the significant acquisitions of the leading plan sponsor services broker and a pioneering company in rules based trading applications.  His range of experience on the buy-side includes roles as a partner in The Marshall Plan, an automated investment management company and a strategic advisor to the trust division at The Chase Manhattan Bank.  He received his BBA in finance from Baruch College and attended their graduate school with focus in investment analysis. 

Terry Marsh is President and C.E.O. of Quantal International Inc., and an Emeritus Professor of Finance at U.C. Berkeley’s Haas School of Business. He received his MBA and Ph.D. degrees from the University of Chicago. Terry served on the finance faculty at UC Berkeley until 2005, and is a former chairman of the Haas Finance Group. Before joining Berkeley, Terry was an Associate Professor of Finance at MIT. He is a recipient of the Batterymarch Fellowship, was a National Fellow at Stanford’s Hoover Institution, and is a CPA Fellow of the Australian Society of Accountants. He has consulted for the New York Stock Exchange, the Options Clearing Corporation, the Industrial Bank of Japan, New Japan Securities, and Banamex, and was a member of the Presidential Task Force on Market Mechanisms which investigated the 1987 stock market crash. Terry was a Yamaichi Fellow and Visiting Professor of Economics at the University of Tokyo in 1993.

Paul Pfleiderer has M.A. and Ph.D. degrees from Yale University. He is the C.O.G. Miller Distinguished Professor of Finance at the Graduate School of Business, Stanford University, Co-Director of the Financial Management Program, and served as Head of the finance group from 1995 to 2007. Paul’s research interests are in market microstructure and the design of financial markets, disclosure regulation, corporate finance and venture capital, and portfolio theory and portfolio optimization. He was awarded a Batterymarch Fellowship in 1987. Paul teaches in Stanford's Executive Program, and has consulted for a number of financial institutions.

Jim Quinn is the product manager for Quantal’s risk products.  He helps Quantal’s clients maximize their benefits from the Quantal Risk Model, assists with unique portfolio construction exercises, and initiates and manages product enhancements, based on input from clients and other sources.  He has also managed several integration projects with partners of Quantal, where the Quantal risk model was integrated into another platform, including a Thomson-Reuters cross-asset class risk application. Jim has managed several consulting projects which have involved custom model development, securities valuation and litigation support. He has a Masters Degree in Financial Engineering from U.C. Berkeley’s Haas School of Business, and also holds Bachelors and Masters Degrees in Civil Engineering from the University of Illinois. He is currently the Chairman for the San Francisco Chapter of QWAFAFEW (Quantitative Work Alliance for Applied Finance, Education and Wisdom.)  

David Rossien earned an MBA from the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School, along with undergraduate and graduate degrees in Computer Science and Electrical Engineering from Penn’s Moore School of Engineering.  David has spent more than 25 years in management roles creating analytical tools for financial services professionals and their clients, at Merrill Lynch, Fidelity Investments, Manulife Financial and others.  He was previously Chief Technology Officer and Chief Operating Officer for Bullrun Financial, which Quantal purchased in 2008.  Prior to that, he served as CTO and Chief Administrative Officer of Adventis, a global management and technology consulting firm. 

Rishi Srivastava received his BS and MS degrees in Mathematics and Computer-Applications from India. He has more than 15 years of software industry experience in application and technology solutions, in areas like CRM and Financial systems. He also holds several patents in the area of Workflow Engine, complex data-structures and object to relational inheritance mechanism. Prior to joining Quantal, he worked as Principal Engineer in the Core Technology team for Extensity, Inc.

Larry Tint joined Quantal International, Inc. from Barclays Global Investors (BGI), where he served as Vice-Chairman, US CEO and member of the Global Management Committee. Before joining BGI, Larry served as President of Sharpe-Tint, Inc. an investment management and consulting company specializing in asset allocation for large institutional investors, which he started together with William F. Sharpe. Larry's industry experience includes a variety of senior roles at Cantor Fitzgerald, Trust Company of the West, Wilshire Associates and Merrill Lynch. Larry received his AB in economics from Haverford College, and his MBA in finance and operations research from the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania. Larry is a member of the Haverford College Board of Managers, and chairs the Haverford College Committee. Larry is also a member of the Board of Visitors of the Claremont Graduate University’s Peter F. Drucker and Masatoshi Graduate School of Management.
